Mental Health Services
Picton Primary Care Network Mental Health Team are a multidisciplinary service set up to support people experiencing common and complex mental health difficulties across our six GP practices. For patients who are navigating mental health difficulties our Mental Health Team provides catered support depending on patient needs, the team can help you manage your conditions in the best way suited to you. The team provides assessment, diagnosis, brief interventions, and care planning.
They can support with a variety of conditions and symptoms such as:
- Low Mood
- Anxiety and/or panic attacks
- Sleeping difficulties
- Depression
- More complex mental health conditions
- People seeking help managing their mental health
The team work collaboratively with GPs, community services, and voluntary sector partners to ensure timely, person-centred mental health support with the aim is to promote recovery, improve access to mental health support in a familiar and accessible setting and reduce reliance on acute services.
The team can provide:
- Physical health checks
- CBT style talking therapies
- Longer appointments with our senior mental health team
- Advice and support to manage your condition
- Access appropriate mental health services and community resources
- They can also carry out assessments

If you need mental health support please contact your GP who can refer you to one of our Mental Health professionals. Once referred you will be contacted by the mental health care co-ordinator who will arrange an appointment, calls are sometimes made through No Caller ID.
